Seeing they already started announcing stuff about it, it should be closer than most people think.

So they're clearing inventory to make way for the OnePlus 5 and also focusing on the production of a single device. This way, they'll be able to have stock ready to be sold immediately after the official announcement.

Which absolutely makes commercial sense, but I do wonder how it bodes for their current models...

    Didn't you hear???

Just don't ask for how long or about older devices that were promised to get Nougat and/or fixes.

I am thinking about returning mine again!. I am on day 15 tomorrow but I was told yesterday I had 30 days!. If they are about to turn my £439 into a piece of junk I want my money back!

    Or learn how to flash!!

    They suck!.

"So rest assured that we’ll continue to bring more software updates and support to the OnePlus 3 and 3T. "

This is a great thing to hear. Continued support may keep me with OnePlus and from going back to a Pixel.

It's 5/25 and you went to supermarket and saw a gallon of milk with expiration date 5/27. And you see someone pushing out a fresh cart full of new milk. Are you going to wait for rush to grab the 5/27 milk?

if the new cart is not what i think is worth buying or is highly priced, i would prefer the 5/27 milk . Btw the 5/27 milk still performs better than many other flagships and i could get 2 or 3 5/27 milk for a price of apple milk or pixel milk.

OnePlus is learning from their mistakes, that they made with the OnePlus 1, OnePlus 2 & OnePlus X. I believe that this time around they will provide updates to the OnePlus 3/3T.
Other manufacturers also abandon there release of updates. I had my HTC, and it only got updated for a year and a half after its release. Samsung stopped its updates within 2 years. That is why, there exists a site called XDA where you can root and install your flavor of ROMs and latest updates. (Thanks to the people at XDA for taking their time to provide us with these updates). I already got accustomed to manufacturers stopping updates within a year or 2, but it's no big deal. As I mentioned, there is always XDA.
Updates to the OnePlus 3/3T have been great so far. No major issues and the fluidity of the system keeps on keeping on.

    I have a question!

    You mentioned:

"...continue to bring more software updates and support to the OnePlus 3 and 3T"

Does software updates mean just firmware updates or Android upgrades? For instance, the OnePlus 3T is due to get Android 'O' and whichever version is next. Will the same be the case for the OnePlus 3?

So basically you're cheap and don't want to pay for new milk. You dont' know the price of the new milk though, and new milk will certainly outperform old milk.
