Finger Print sensor getting disabled rarely

I have been using oneplus 7 pro for 20 days. My fingerprint sensor on the screen will display a green light usually to help us locate the sensor. But rarely there will be a white light instead of green light and I won't be able to use Finger print sensor. Then after I login with pin the next time it will work properly. There won't be any error messages stating that the sensor is disabled due to mismatch. Is this because of the battery saver?

The white light comes on (disabled) for two main reasons I know.

    1. Your phone has been restarted or just been powered on. It will only accept pin the first time

    2. The finger print sensor has been disabled due to too many incorrect attempts.

I think Google set it up this way. Every now and then my 3a XL will ask for my pin number and the fp scanner is disabled. Same on my 7 Pro.

that's correct, it's for security reasons that from time to time the pin code input is required. I have it too and so it was on my s8+.
