Fingerprint sensor and home button suddenly stopped working.

    Yes.Flashing is worth a try.And yes,wipe completely.If that doesn't work,go for return. :)

    Well - It has worked for some people - they have also mentioned letting your battery drain out completely. Not sure how that helps, but can try.

    I will try flashing later today - will let you know if it works - not very hopeful though - looks like a Hardware issue. Fingers Crossed..

    UPDATE :
    The hardware button is now responding to 50% of my touches (I did a full reflash with ak kernel, but the problems stills persists), but the fingerprint sensor is still completely unresponsive.
    Also, there are now a lot of ghost touches when i switch to hardware button. I'm guessing there's something wrong with the internals due to a fall or something.

    I'll be taking it to the service center tomorrow.

    I'll keep you guys updated.

    Bu as far as i am concerned, there's an issue with the hardware.

    hi man, im too facing the same issue from the very first week i had the finger print/home button issue but after draining the battery fully and then charged it . it worked but from last week onwards the same issue has started. tried flashing and clearing cache but it doesnt work. any solution . i bougt the op2 two months back

    How did they respond at the service center? Mine is barely a month old and my fingerprint sensor isnt working. One service center I went to wasnt open but a guy who works there told me its a standard problem that is covered under warranty. Any idea how long they take for warranty claims?
