    Hello,

Recently, unfortunately, I dropped my phone and the screen broke. I had the screen replaced at the official OnePlus Service Center at MGF Mall, Gurugram. The device was using 10.3.6.HD65AA

Post screen replacement, the center staff struggled to get the fingerprint sensor working. Finally, they decided to "Do the Software" by which I presume they meant to flash the device and move it to a previous software version.

Once flashed (and I don't know what software version they used), the fingerprint sensor restarted working. However, when the phone updated again to 10.3.6.HD65AA, the fingerprint sensor stopped working. Since then I have upgraded to 10.3.7.HD65AA, but the issue remains unresolved. I wrote to onepluscare@oneplus.com but their recommendations haven't helped fix the problem. Finally, they have suggested that I post on this forum.

    Looking for help!

    Regards,

    Hi there Pranesh,

I believe what Support meant to say was to use the Feedback option in the Community app to submit a bug report, rather than posting a thread on General Support.

I would suggest you to submit a bug report by going to Community app – tap the "+" sign – select "Feedback" – "Security" – "Fingerprint" and then fill out all the fields. By doing so, your bug report will be looked at by official Bug Hunters.

Let me know if you have any questions on this procedure.

Can you share the link to the bug report? I can ask a Bug Hunter to have a look at it.

I'm not sure how that will help. they weren't able to handle the problem originally. i just didn't quite get the confidence that were on top of things.
