Could someone please explain in basic English what I need to do to get this SuperUser menu to appear - on a vanilla OPO that hasn't got custom/unlocked anything - i.e. it's just the phone, as it was received in the box? I haven't got TWRP or whatever.

All I want to do is be able to give Adblock root access via the SuperUser menu. :(

i had super su installed. I removed it and flashed light zip. Now when an app asks for root access, the request window appears to grant it.. But I cannot display the #Superuser item from settings! I have already tried to disable/reenable developer mode. What to do?
    ROM version XNPH44S

Sorry now I did read S version hides the item but it is still searchable. For now it is OK for me, will wait jak finds out :)

This makes the phone so much more independent. No more SuperSu app and less icons.

@jak any chances that you will be making new version of flashable Full version for new OTA XNPH05Q?

Thanks for the super fast update. :D

Should I take any precautions prior to updating to CM12S, when I have flashed the light version a year ago?
Or will the CM11S superuser just stop working after the OTA and I can flash the CM12 full zip of yours to gain root access again?

Due to a bug in Cyanogen OS it currently works completely fine out of the box. There might be some issues in a future OS update, but they'll need an updated zip anyway (the old backup is not deleted currently, but the backup/restore script does not run anyway due to a CyanogenOS bug, so it's harmless).

But let's discuss this all in https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/flashable-zip-cm12-enable-integrated-superuser.297089/

    Sure, will do. :)
I just thought that this question is more related to CM11S superuser flashable zip than the one for CM12S. :D

jak, thank you very much, for sharing this nice su implementation :)
In http://jak-linux.org/cm/ there's 2 light versions, what is the difference?
    The one in the OP:
    cm-unofficial-11-signed-superuser-light.zip
Modification time: Sat, 13 Sep 2014
    and this:
    cm-unofficial-11.0-signed-superuser-light.zip
