Well one that you could have checked the forum before creating a new thread. Two fm radio has a cost. Ergo if you buy this phone you are notionally Saving a few hundred at the very least towards what Oneplus would have needed to charge you to Include fm. Now you can go to the market and get a fm radio for that money and net net you are still better off.

The cost would have been less than two cents. The Qualcomm SoC used has already built in FM radio, OP just grounded the two antenna pins instead of wiring them to the antenna, i.e. the headphones jack.

Oh. I did not know that I had just saved so much amount. Thanks for sharing it. And do, check the thread creation date. Like threads can exist, just dont reply if you are not comfortable. And, do you know the extra cost that OPO would have incurred if there was an FM radio?

Its no point giving these replies to someone who bluntly opposes something without knowledge. Sometimes I feel that why people behave like this at all?

I just wanted to point out, that OP decision to not include a FM radio was neither based on technical limitation nor to make the device cheaper. This is not only true for the OPO, but also for other flagships such as the S5 for example. The device manufacturers just bow to the network providers.

The thing I would like to know is, how hard would it be to ground those two points by ourselves?

Yes, I know it would void warranty... but I tend to keep my phones long past their warranty periods as well as tinker.
