Dirty flash the ROM then flash your kernel. It's a known issue when moving from franco.

I personally prefer Franco, tried AK and it was quite laggy with poor battery life and stuff crashing. Multitasking was also significantly worse. This doesn't seem to match the general consensus as most seem to praise AK but for me anyway Franco is the better choice

    Franco is overated.........
Tried his kernels many times in many devices especially recently on my Nexus 5/7 and on oneplus One.
    Franco vs ElementalX kernel
    ElementalX wins
    Oneplus One
    Franco vs AK kernel
    AK wins.

Franco sacrifices performance too much for battery while the other kernels are just perfect between a mix of performance and battery while still getting better battery.

The battery savings is very very minimal or any different comparing Franco kernel to like AK kernel while Franco edges it.
    AK kernel is better.

Trying AK for the first time after Franco's latest broke video recording on the cyanogen camera app. After an hours of use, seems laggy...

Franco FTW. Used AK for a bit but Franco for ease of use, stability and consistency. No difference to me in battery life.

I think when I flashed the stock kernal (28, i think) prior to moving to AK from Franco, it brought ghost touch to my OnePlus.

I'm at work and these ghost touches are annoying the hell out of me.

Is there a quick way to uninstall AK and install Franco or do I have to wait to get home?

You can install directly over your current kernel, you can't uninstall the kernel, it's neccesary for Android.

Currently on Franco, can I just flash ak kernel without having to flash stock kernel and vice versa?

Franco kernel is fantastic on standby. Today, about 5h on standby and no battery consumption whatsoever. It's very stable!
