OxygenOS Freezing of One Plus 3T

    Hi,

My One Plus 3T randomly freezes while doing any kind of operation. The screen goes blank and clicking any button doesn't work. I have to manually press the volume down and power key button to prompt the reboot mode. Later it works fine . This happens once in a week or so.

    Please provide expert opinion.

    Thanks.

I didn't yet get the OTA update . I am still waiting for it.
I am not willing to update using VPN procedures.

    Thanks.

    Oh is it ?

But my big question what is the reason still most of the users are not getting the update via OTA. Why One Plus team is deliberately not pushing the OTA for majority of the users ?

If it's the case of iPhone we get the update as global launch in matter of minutes . Any way I will wait for my luck until I didn't get an clear cut update from One Plus.

Because you can't compare OnePlus to Apple in terms of size and resources. Their roll out is incremental adding in more countries each day. Just some food for thought Samsung released their 7.0 update 3 months ago and a pretty big chunk of users still don't have it. And I guess it's up to you. If you want just check this ------> OxygenOS 4.1.1 (7.1.1) OTA for OnePlus 3T

True buddy . Definitely I would never compare. That's the reason I had moved from Apple to One Plus. Still it's going to be more than a month and many are relying on VPN for installation is not acceptable .

At least clear communication has to be given from One Plus when and what time all the users will be updated.

Thanks for your time in replying to my post.

Considering the fact that Android Nougat is currently on a mere 2.8% of ALL android devices (per March 7th article in Digital Trends), I'd say OnePlus is doing pretty well with timely updates. 97% of Android users are on Marshmallow or below.

It's actually been a week, 4.1 was stopped and replacedby 4.1.1 so the roll out started over. Yes this string of updates has taken longer than usual but I expect that you want more stable updates like the rest of us. And the VPN method is for those that absolutely don't want to wait. Like you for example could use it. I'm sure the majority of users are just waiting and using their phones regardless of what OS they are running.

They roll out updates systematically by region. Hence, some people will get it before others.
