front camera not working after update Jun 12, 2020

It's within warranty and they flashed my mobile and gave it back saying it's not a software issue but it's a hardware issue like that,but it seems that's definitely not a hardware issue

Went to service centre they told I have to change the front camera and it costs 1198₹. Even if it's in warranty we have to pay like that they are saying

It is my third OnePlus and probably my last device too. It is really disappointed since I really like my 7pro. Software used to be their best asset but doesn't seem to be anymore so I'm not sure what is the point of getting 1+ anymore.

Which service center, Authorized or Exclusive service center? Did you send mail regarding this to Oneplus? @Saravanan.M.S
Authorized service center may ask money as they are 3rd party. Today I am sending my Phone to exclusive service center, Booked a pickup and drop service. I didn't got any solution So sending this to service center.
And it looks like hardware issue after the update, as if you deny camera access from other apps, other apps start working.

Hey there, I had the same issue, and for me it was a hardware problem. I don't know how it happens but look at the picture... I changed the camera and now it's working

Right now after the service centre visit they flashed my mobile and installed 10.0.1GM21AA and there is an update showing 10.0.3GM21AA but I didn't update it because of the fear that apps may stop working.

Now front cam is not even Popping out

I went to OnePlus Exclusive Service Center, Old Door No 89, New Door 68, Sir Thyagaraya High Road, T. Nagar, Chennai 600017

It's an exclusive service centre and they are also asking money

Initially the camera used to pop out and screen will be black, after flashing it's not even Popping out

It was progressive after update.
And the final reboot, black screen.
No hardware issue.
