Front Camera Stopped Working in OP7 Pro Effective 13th October 2020 Oct 13, 2020

    Actually it was ordered from Amazon and unfortunately that account is locked and I have tried connecting with Amazon customer care with regards to sending invoice copy for this. But they are unable to send it. I informed this to OP service center, but they insisted bill copy. Although my OnePlus Service Care app shows extended warranty, still they want bill
    If I can't provide I will be charged for Front Camera replacement. That's very sad

    Bill which I had received in mobile box, Ink is faded out over a period of time and it is not readable. As far as Amazon account is concerned, it is my brother's account and since some suspicious activity was detected it was locked. Multiple attempts were made to restore this account, but no proper ETA from Amazon Customer care, they always keep on saying you will get email in 48 hours, but no such emails comes.
    So now even though phone is in warranty, still OP team is not helping. Going forward any purchase made I will ensure to click a photo and store in my mobile or personal account.

    Yeah! Or try to contact the shop who sold that phone to you through amazon. Give it a try!

    I have installed latest update by OP. The front camera issue still exists. It is 100% not giving any picture. It will pop up, but not see anything. The screen will show the blue illuminated animation under camera as it pops up, but no picture shows (just black screen). Most of time, the camera will go back down after 1-3 seconds. It 100% of time will make my camera app (OP default camera app) crash.

    Hello, I have reported the log files again today to OP. I have tried 3rd part apps such as Zoom, Facebook, etc. All fail.

    Did u try 3rd party camera apps like open camera, camera fv5 etc.... Give it a try!

    Finally OP Service center team got my front camera replaced on 29th November 2020. I had a get an email copy of delivery schedule which worked out. I would like to thank everyone for your valuable suggestions.

    . Same problem. Hopefully the mobile which has been sent to Service Center by courier will be able to resolve the problem as it is likely a bug.
