    No, But is it the phone or the carrier? They often compress files sent via mms. You might have to actually call the company your get your plan from. I always e mail my photos for this reason.

    Great guide with really useful information. Unfortunately, camera apps seem to be changing all the time with new versions of color os, cameranext modded and presumably new apps in oxygen os and CM12 being introduced on a regular basis. Are you intending to update the guide or just change your recommendations accordingly?.

    Two things. First, FV-5 is crap, I don't like it at all. I can't understand who and why can say it's good. Second, Google camera is the best for panoramas and the only app that able to make spherical photos.

    At the end. OnePlus has very annoying camera api bug and nobody plan to fix it. All photos taken with flash are messed with vertical line at half of pic. This applies to any 3rd party camera app (not CameraNext), so there is no any sense to use them.

    Fv-5 has some of the best saturation and exposure of any app. Some of my most breath taking, and eriely beautiful shots owe it to FV-5 as there maker. Yes alot of people have already disscussed about panorama, photosphere and lens blurs(my fav) features. Since your not the first to mention it I did add a brief line since it seems to keep coming up. Some people find Fv-5 a poor camera app. Two reason one they did not try the pro version, or the manual controls are out of their league. Usually those people are best sticking to the simple google camera.

    The vertical line is not necessarily 3rd party app specific. Your device happens to have the bug exclusively on third party apps. Some devices have it in different ways, most don't have it at all. Iv heard that with the new camera API for CM12s this will go away completely. Best of luck.

    Vertical line issue is confirmed on all Oneplus devices. Cm11 and Cm12. It's because of device, not apps obviously.

    I cannot promise they will fix it. Im sorry its affecting their device. CM12s will have new camera drivers, designed by cyanogen itself for the snapdran 801 AC-model. CM12 does not have these new drivers. I am hoping with this update will go away. I hope you found something usefull from my guide. Either way I cannot fix the driver error on your device (at least without cache and hard wipe). When CM12s arrives id love to hear how camera API 2 works for you.

    I don't even ask for camera2 api. It can be current api, but with this bug fixed. But currently, stable cm11s and cm12 nightly are both affected with it. It's really noticeable when taking photos with flash. So 3rd party camera apps have limited functionality on OnePlus, shame

    Hi,

    I am new here ;-) I study computer programming and focus on smartphone photography.

    The google cam is good for taking quick pictures, and very good for effect-full panorama or photosphere pics. But if you want to have more control about your picture settings, other apps are much better.

    Very important is the ISO setting, and that cant be manual managed with the google cam. That is my biggest concern.

    The picture quality overall is good, and its easy to handl.

    peace, Marvin

    @TheJames excellent guide, sir!

    Can anyone teach how to disable slow shutter in Auto mode for default camera app? It ruined all my night photos!!! What's the point to have a "good" picture but a blurry one?
