To be very honest my dad is very strict. Before 2016, I never spoke to him much. Whenever I needed anything from him, I would ask my mom and then she used to convey the msg to my dad.
But everything changed after 2016.
My health was deteriorating and I needed immediate medical advice. Unfortunately, appointment with the doctor was available only after 3 months.
So my dad left for hospital at 3am. Waited in line for 10 hours and finally he got to speak to the doctor on emergency basis. Doctor decided to give me an emergency appointment. My Mom drove me to the hospital which is 2 hours long journey and I saw my dad waiting in the line. He didn't even had his breakfast, neither did he sleep.
After doctor's visit, it was evident my health wasn't well but dad knew I will be fine. He had a hope.
I was admitted to the hospital and both my mom and dad were with me in the same hospital room for 6 months.
I always wanted once chance to rectify my mistake which I got miraculously on May, 2017.
This is the first picture I took with my dad post discharge.
We went to a restaurant to celebrate my recovery.

After my recovery, my outlook towards life has changed. Even though my dad was strict, I saw another side in him post my surgery.

Those 6 months made me realise how important it is to tell our loved ones how much we love them. How important it is to talk.
This is the first time I am sharing pictures with my dad to express how much I love him. Life is very short but these are the most memorable memories with my dad.
Thank you
