So you've read both spec sheets;). Why not get her a OP2 instead?

Curious what you consider as the best device then?

He obviously does not consider price as part of the equation so that would rule out a Onesplus phone.

To advice in general, there is no "best device".
Its always a matter of taste and if people don't know what they want after, like, an hour of research (like on youtube). I just have to narrow it down to 2-3 devices.

This guy just blindly want "the best specs" available, which is unrealistic. You can't have a supersmall phone, with the top capacity battery, 10"screen in a 4,7"phone. The best most specced software, bugfree and updates before the next version exists.
If money isn't an issue, buy all phones and you'll end up using the "best device" you want the most. Or hire the most talented developers/engineers from the top10 biggest companies and make your own.
    Money is always an issue.

    On the 2 choices: (S7 vs HTC10)
If you want heartbeat sensor, you are bound to get S7. If you want a good DAC/sound experience, HTC might have a slight overhand. If you want Touchwiz ... well... etc. Anyone can look for the specs themselves. But i can't decide for them Touchwiz is more important than HTC's pro's.

    2 more things:
i don't think, you will go that wrong when you get one of these 2 phones. (considering you won't feel a thing by paying 500-1000euro/dollar etc. )
    its also like automotive industry:
one person needs a heatcam on their phone, the other needs an e-ink screen, or is a root/flash/unlock-junkie. The other one needs to cruise over the boulevard, the other one needs power for offroad, the other lives in a big crowded city and another one just want to spend a lotta money or just want to hobby for themselves. There is no best-car. You cant put your family in a Veyron and drive for miles comfortably with no emission. You can't win on a racetrack with a Prius (morally ;) ).

I like both phones. I think it's down to lwhat you're looking for. Both phones are excellent but pricy. I have a Galaxy Note but I would not go with Samsung in future as they're much worse than OP in providing updates and touchwiz is just too busy for my liking. I prefer the simplicity of a Nexus or HTC 10 phone

HTC 10 ftw its probably going to be my next phone in like a year or two. Tbh to help you with your decision its going to come down to two things. Do you want a great camera with good audio or a good camera with great audio.
Apart from those two they're pretty much the same, it all depends which features each phone has respectively that's the most attractive to you. Personally I love the design of the HTC 10 and I'm a huge audio profile, especially since sense has been cleaned up and it is a lot more lean it just makes the phone all that more attractive to me and one more thing the htc 10 ois on the front camera with fast charging 3.0
