    ok t..fair enough. then I suggest send op a feedback in the proper way instead of typing here...i.doubt it the point will be noted here since so many pointless threads keep coming up.

    I encountered the same issue in OnePlus 6t. Picture taken in portrait mode. When viewed through the stock gallery does not rotate to landscape mode.
    The issue is Auto- rotate is by default disabled in the pull down quick settings. Once Auto-rotate is enabled the picture orientation gets synced with phone orientation. Rotation starts working in gallery.

    found the option. in the newer Oxygen Os the rotate crop option is missing in the gallery edit options. on most phones gallery has both a crop and rotate option when you click edit. rotate lets you do 90 degree rotate edits to the photo in case the camera didnt register you were taking in landscape. the 5/6t seems they replaced the rotate button with a "straighten" button which is different as it fixes crooked photos such as using a tripod that isnt level. if you click the straighten option though there is another button on the right but unlabeled that does the normal 90 degree rotate as before. confusing!
