Gap under keyboard | Android 10 Update via OnePlus 6T Midnight Black

After updating to Android 10, I've noticed that there is a huge gap between the bottom of the screen and the bottom of the keyboard which makes typical very difficult.

Is there is a way to fix it?

Extra space is always there, I have also seen "no network access" notification there. Remove this extra space

I tried the above method to reduce the gap and it worked. However, it comes at a cost of other application which present in-app menus/ options/ pop-ups on the bottom of the screen. After adjusting the position of the keyboard, some of those in-app menus/ options/ pop-ups are pushed out of the screen. Is there any way to adjust the keyboard position without affecting the layout of apps?

I wouldn't bet on it as it is a stock Google Android feature to allow for gesture navigation and appears in Android 11 as well.

I've tired to disable it via ADB but it just looked ugly ngl, if OnePlus fixes this hope they do it properly.

Idt they are going to though, cuz its an issue on the 7 Pro as well and it's not been fixed for a long time

Guess this 'next OTA update', OnePlus wasn't mentioning the 10.3.7 update? A couple of days ago I received the OTA update and the gap is still in place.
