because then people will get upset that they are paying $900 for a phone that costs $350 or so to build...

btw, does @Ceasedd run the NutSac company?

i love the idea of 5g. pushes other carriers to follow up and improve service for everyone. I wish I waited out 6 months because I bought the 7 pro back on the summer when I could have waited for the 5g on T-Mobile. 5g is super fast in Atlanta already. one issue however that may require others to hold off may be how 5g affects battery consumption.

regardless of how fast warp charge is. I think the drain from the network may still be a problem.

I have nothing but appreciation for 5G right now along with knowing it's is going to keep getting better.

To combat the battery issue there are plenty of other options to disable or reduce before shutting off 5G, which makes no sense to do so, in my humble opinion.

I'm getting close to two days now on my 7T Pro 5G, by reducing my screen to 60hz instead of the default 90hz. I will let my phone adapt to that use for a week and then reintroduce 90hz, to see if will adapt to it better. Visually my eyeballs aren't really noticing the difference and still looks better than my 6T.

I was already getting a full day out of it with 90hz on but have my wifi scanning off and my GPS only able to always run with my watch and the rest of my apps run GPS only while the app is open. The phone does get better battery as time goes on. I leave my 5G on in both scenarios as it defeats the purpose of having a 5G phone, there are better informed decision cuts you can make to your phones.

Similar experience for me. I got one for the band 71. I saw in it some tests but it was never everywhere. No complaints though. My 6 and 6t had excellent coverage.

    Now 600mhz is EVERYWHERE.

I am having such issues with the 5G. I play multiplayer mobile games, such as call of duty mobile and in game data there is no connection... latency is at 200ms max. only play under wifi.

find your APN settings and reset to default. I had the same issue where my original settings were changed for whatever reason and however it happened. I reset and my 5G and mobile data came back afterwards.

I am on TMobile and I also have their home internet. I'm excited to see what is coming in the future with the home internet is they upgrade it to 5g. I was speaking with tech support and one of them have the mcclaren and it speed tested at 100Mb/sec!! That's blazing fast!! if there is a giva away count me in!!

According my experience with the OP 7T Pro 5g, neither performance nor coverage increased.

The phone delivered so far consistently lower performance in 5g mode than 4g mode, which likely is a reason as the band is split between 5g and 4g as the phone is not yet capable of standalone mode yet.
At least that's what I measured in my region.
That's not really my problem, as I expect to see improvements theoughout the year, rather than the 2nd issue.
The 2nd issue I noticed is that in areas where LTE drops, so does 5g. The extended coverage is something I can not confirm. Which is the primary reason I looked into T-Mobile again but so far it's pretty frustrating that Verizon outperforms T-Mobile on coverage and speed on traditional LTE, even when compared to 5g low band.

All that aside, the OP 7T Pro McLaren is a nice phone but definitely needs more care on the software side to make it awesome. I'll explain in a different thread.
