Gmail crashes and says "Gmail has problems with google services. If the problem persists, be in contact with the app developer".

I cant uninstall and re-install these apps without rooting the phone. Deleting cache doesnt work. Bought the phone 6 hours ago... Just got all the setups put up, so wouldnt like to reset the whole phone yet. Help, anyone?

    Cheers, Eero

I was having the same issue.

Went into apps then options and show system apps.

Scroll down to Google Play Services.

Tap options and then uninstall updates.

It may prompt you that the device administrator has disabled the function - Untick Android Device Manager. You should now be able to uninstall updates. Then disable the App. In a few seconds enable it again and it will prompt you to update Google Play Servicea

You will get a notification from Google play service when a new update is ready to install. No worries
