Gmail notifications not working via OnePlus 9 Pro

  1. Q1516004612438 , via OnePlus 9 Pro , Jul 22, 2021 :
Hello everyone, I have a OP 9 pro running latest software 1.2.8.8. as is the case with a lot of people, my Gmail notifications are not working and I have to constantly keep checking the app for new emails.

As you would imagine this is frustrating, I've looked all over these forums for solutions but so far, nothing has worked.
I've tried clearing the cache for the app it self, clearing the cache from the boot menu, turning notifications on and off, logging in and out of the account and so far nothing has worked. Sometimes after clearing the cache it would work for a few times then again stop.

Has anyone been able to find a working reliable fix ? Thanks in advance.

    In addition to this:
    1. Uninstall Gmail from ADB, clear Cache, reinstall from APK.
    2. Uninstalled updates ,force stop the app and restart.
    3. Doze mode disabled through ADB.
    4. Wipe cache from recovery.
    5. Locking the App in the background
    6. Battery Optimization disabled.
    7. Ram boost Disabled.
    8. Standby App setting is exempt for gmail.

Thank you all for the replies, I've tried all the steps you guys mentioned and it only seems to fix the issue temporarily for a few hours only, then it stops notifying me again. I am not sure what to do at this point. Only thing I haven't tried yet is a full device wipe and reset but I won't do that honestly, too much of a hassle and I feel I shouldn't have to do that just for Gmail notifications.

Same here with OnePlus 6T. I think there is a problem with kernel or smth. With all the tinkering OP done with android 11 it's no surprise.

This wasn't an issue on my older 5t. I browsed the forums and so many people are complaining about the same issue and all I found was workarounds that didn't really help. I shouldn't have to wipe my device or root or install any custom kernel to get gmail notifications to work :/

I do have same issue with Oneplus 9 Pro, since I purchased it. I have also tried different solutions, but did not helped.

Poor Oneplus support and will never buy Oneplus phones, as it is very buggy.
