If BlackBerry brings all the good stuff from BB OS 10 plus the usual blackberry security features to Android then this would be a good phone.

They officially changed their name to BlackBerry Limited some time ago

Besides specs, this is the only thing that might make this phone fail is Blackberry's non experience in the Android field. We will wait and see.

Holy Crap. I've been only using BlackBerry for the last 3 years (Last 3 months with the OPO, my first android phone) before going for the OPO I couldn't imagine typing on a touch screen (still hate it) but I had to leave BB because of no apps (it has.. Now) and the newer devices are really steep with the prices. Now the Venice is like a hybrid between both my favourite OSes! The gorgeous keyboard and Android 5.1. Its just like a dream come true. Hope they do well with the pricing!

Blackberry certainly can do good security - the rest of the OS and the hardware was not so great. Moving to Android for the app eco system, updated hardware and their encryption would be a winning combination particularly in Enterprise.

Exactly. Ive been with my Plus about 9 months and I still hate typing on a touchscreen. It is a horrible experience and very very unaccurate.

Ive been waiting for a device like this for a LONG time.

...I literally said that about 3 posts before you...******* idiots...

Wow, how old this year? 7? 9? 12?
