If a phone does not make your life easier then what is the point of owning it regardless of brand?

I do agree this is pathetic. However when I am on the road for work being able to say goodnight to my children on facetime is priceless too me and does indeed make my life better. I use my devices as extensions of my life. Not as replacement for direct physical human interaction.

that's understandable. 99% of the population its not an extension. its pretty much a sickness lol

iPhone 6 plus for the reasons I have listed in the thread. OPO is great phone but iPhone is a better fit for me.

The good thing about technology there is choice. What maybe great for one maybe a disaster for someone else as the all have their unique features.

There has always been this android/apple battleground and it is silly. Would I choose apple currently no. It's no for me. That's not to say it is a good choice for some.

Some of the people here act as if they were a major shareholder of OP. When someone decides to part the OPO and go with another phone, be it iPhone, Samsung, Xiaomi, etc, some took that as an insult and had to defend OP or diss the other companies. Different strokes for different folks. Just because we think we spent our money wisely and got the OP for a good deal doesn't mean the others are wrong to go with any other company!

Canada the OPO is not the greatest of deals. After exchange rate shipping and duties/taxes it was over $500. Granted not as pricey as other products but also not cheap enough to soley base the choice on price.

I wish you all the best, you will surely enjoy the new iPhone, I've been on iOS from the beginning till now and enjoyed it. Now, just 2 weeks ago I switched from iPhone to Oneplus cause after 6 years I wanted to have something else, something fancy not everybody has and I enjoy it.
But I'm sure you will love your new iPhone and the integration with all your other Apple devices and after all it's just a phone, isn't it?

You can substitute the "good deal" factor in my original post with any of the other criteria all of us here could dream of. I didn't want to create a paragraph with reasons why people buy this or that. The point still boils down to, whatever the others choose to buy or like, is really their own preference. That doesn't make the iPhone (Samsung, etc) better nor does it make the OP inferior. So no need to diss any company, and certainly no need to praise OPO!

Couldn't agree more. I honestly would really like to see the Windows phones and Blackberry get more competative as well as Ubuntu Phone. I truly believe that competition makes it better for the consumers and I love being able to have a choice of what I want to use. And yes I realize that there is more choice with Android however its still android at its core.

*Edit. Just to clarify I want choice in ways of doing things. ie Apple does iOS one way Android another and yet Windows is another completely different approach yet all devices accomplish the same basic functions.
