How do I access the Google assistant on my OP5T with the new navigation gesture control enabled?

Go to google settings and turn on "Ok Google" Voice Assistant. Later, you can access the same through voice by speaking"ok google/Hey Google"

Swipe up and hold is, for some unfathomable reason, not a long press of the home button, but instead is how you get to the recent apps list.

This is a rather mind-boggling implementation of swipe, they enabled 3 swipe locations:
    - Left: swipe takes you back, swipe and hold does nothing
    - Middle: swipe takes you home, swipe and hold shows recent apps
    - Right: swipe takes you back, swipe and hold does nothing
So right away we see that they have the ability to mimic 3 buttons, with short and long press, just like the buttons they're replacing, but instead, they chose to enable 2 identical buttons, and one button that has 2 modes to do the other 2.

Yea saw a video earlier, I'm confused about their reasoning as well, then again it is only a beta and they'll look for feedback.

I do hope they improve it. That said, their recent track record on listening to customer feedback does not leave me optimistic.
