Google Assistant not responding after the latest update Dec 30, 2020

    Hey guys,

    On my 8t the assistant was working just fine. Even recently I dropped a question here how to turn on the beep sound.

    However, I updated the phone with the latest earlier this week and Google assistant stopped responding on Hey/OK Google. When I start it manually it works.

    I followed all the steps in here

    And on top of it I cleaned the cache from the google app uninstalled and installed the app updates again. (tested also with and without the update) and restarted.

    I just seem not to be able to get it responding anymore.

    Do you have more tips?

    Thanx guys, I have done that it did not help.
    Now, I have just done the factory reset and retrained the voice model. Still no google assistant :(.

    Any tips?

    The same thing has happened to me, I have also tried some of the solutions that other users have suggested, to no avail. Hopefully One Plus does something about this soon. I am thinking of possibly returning my device. said:
    Update: In addition to the above problem any video/audio playback is laggy/stuttery. However it seems as though there is a solution, which is to turn on battery saver. Unfortunately it does not solve the voice recognition problem.

    current update 11.0.6.7(8) seems to cause massive system lags and problems with google voice assistend.

    Temporary solution - disable google voice assistant untill a fix arrives (either from google side as an update of the app itself or from oneplus if it is an OS problem).
