These vision algorithms will create a matrix of possibilities for the smartphones for whom two cameras on the back and one camera on the front are going to be a norm.

Did you do this:
The Community app's webview doesn't support the download of files. Open the download link with the 3 dots in the webview with your browser.

Is there any reason not to use the latest Arnova version, listed here (followed by a download link):
on the contrary, that's the only version that is presently working without any major bugs. all other versions have issues.
I didn't updated the post recently and before that I thought that the GCam 6.1 (V1.X) versions are more stable. That may changed now.
I read more on the XDA Forum, and the 6.2 versions don't support config files (yet?).
However, I did find these:
The config file is listed with the 1.4 version as for the OnePlus 6/6T.
I suppose I should mention that I did not try the 6.2 version that @suraj1595 said was working well - the config file seemed important from what I had read.
I'm not a serious photographer, but the praise being heaped on this Google Camera App was huge.
Yes, GCam 6.1 supports configs and GCam 6.2 does not support configs (yet).
Arnova's V2.2 needs some changes for motion photos, top shot and focus tracking. By enabling it, the front camera model needs to be changed too. Without motion is seems to work well without changes.
Older versions are working too and you also get good photos. Newer is not always better. So I think the V1.7 based on GCam 6.1 is better for all people that need a working GCam out of the box.
I updated the versions for OnePlus 6 and 7 devices.
OP 7, ver. 6.2.xx takes good pictures without config files. But I don't use motion photo or focus tracking
6.1 cannot open motion photos as Google photos crashes often
6.2 can take motion photos without glitches
but both 6.1 and 6.2 heats up OnePlus 6t at the upper back area after 5-10 minutes of continuous photo capturing..
Which is the best version of Gcam for OnePlus 6?
