I installed the new final versio. If there is a new version (you want to update from 1.1 to 1.2 for example) what do you do? Uninstall old and later install new?

I personally usually clear the system caches before I install a new version.

I want a user of 6T, using gcam

Today I installed the final version on my 6T. First shots are very good. Not only night mode. Seems the portrait mode is very good, too.

Try to use the browser instead of the Community app.
All links are working for me.

The Community app can't open links of the OnePlus forum. Most links in the first post are useless in the app.

I just tested it with chrome, works without problems. Maybe clear the cache of your browser, and restart your phone. Or, try to download on a PC, move to your Google drive, copy from there to your phone..you will find a way.

    Hey guys,

    Just a heads up!

I recently updated to MGC_6.1.021_BSG_Arnova-based_v.1.3d_TlnNeun_2.apk stable version and everything works like a charm on my OP6 (stable Pie, not rooted). I find it the best version until now (many kudos to BSG, Arnova & TlnNeun). Of course, the max. camera resolution for both cameras is 12MP and not 16MP, but I do not consider it to be relevant in any way as 12MP is more than enough.

    What to do:
    - install .apk
    - download the config .xml for your OP (in my case OP6.xml)
    - create GCam folder in Internal Storage
    - create Configs folder in GCam folder
    - copy the .xml file for your OP in Configs folder (in my case OP6.xml)
    - open Google Camera (the viewfinder will freeze but it's no problem)
    - double tap the area near the shutter button
    - load the .xml configuration for your OP (in my case OP6.xml)
    - restart the app & enjoy

I also installed it on my OP 5T (still on stable Oreo... bleah, non rooted) as well and everything works except front facing camera. I am hoping for a miracle when it will update to android Pie. :-D

You can find all necessary files here: https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-arnova8G2/
(the config xml. files are in the xda post mentioned in the link above)

    Good luck!

    What doesn't work?
    Which Gcam version?
Which camera mode? Front camera or rear camera?
What happends on your device? App is crashing? Viewfinder is black?

Try to clear app data of Gcam or try to reboot your device.

    Hello everyone,

this is in regards to the .apk for OnePlus 5/OnePlus 5T.

I am running an unrooted version of OxygenOS 9.0.0 with pre-installed OnePlus Camera 3.0.13. According to post #3 I downloaded "Arnova's v7Beta-Test-9" and installed the .apk from a file explorer without any further preparation.
During the initial start I was prompted to provide the usual access for taking pictures, recording audio, adding geo-information etc. but the app crashed right after. Also a restart of the app nor the phone was helpful at all.

According to this (XDA: Stable settings for Arnova's Pixel2Mod v7beta9+ and versions based on it.) article a possible approach would be to install the front camera fix.

Do I understand this correctly, that I need a rooted phone for the front camera fix to work?

    Thanks in advance,
    S

Well I just took more time to look at this problem. I see that you can correct the dotted pattern overlay problem only on a rooted device and only for the front camera. But the problem's here on the back camera..........
I'll try to contact the developer [e]1f60a[/e]
