Great News. All OnePlus phones now supports auxilary cameras without root. I updated the version for 7 series.

I added the OnePlus Nord to this list. The Nord is still in early development and the overall performance and image quality may not on same level as the GCam for the other OnePlus phones. The Nord supports the ultrawide on the back but not yet on the front camera.

In order to add the Nord I restructured all posts.

That's great news. Can you pls provide the link for downloading Gcam for one plus 5T without rooting the device? Thank you in advance.

The support for GCam is very limited on the OnePlus 5 and 5T. OnePlus messed something up.
As far as I know, there isn't a perfect GCam without root or modding for the 5T.

I can't help you. That's why I moved it to the archived section.

I have a 7T and using the latest GCam from Wichaya (2.7.3) which allows me to use auxiliary cameras without root.

It takes quite good photos, but I have 2 problems:

    1. The raw dng files are washed out, really blurry and can't open them in Lightroom.

    2. It allows me to shoot video in 4k 60fps with the main camera, and in the settings it shows me that it works with the ultra wide and the tele as well, but the videos are not real 60fps, only with the main camera.

Does anybody have a solution for these? Thanks!

    1. The DNG problem is a known bug. Don't if it's GCam itself or something specific on OnePlus phones.

    2. GCam doesn't show the capable resolutions and framerates of the sensor. It always shows 4k with up to 60fps. Maybe because the main camera is capable of it.
GCam can't improve the framerate or the resolution when the sensor isn't capable of recording the settings.

    7T maximum video settings:
main: [email protected], 1080p up to 240fps, 720p up to 480fps
ultrawide: [email protected] and [email protected]
    tele: [email protected]

The limitation of the settings is the fix for this 'issue'.

Hey there. Please check for this. In OnePlus 8 pro. Astrophotography nightsight stucks are 30 seconds and get into infinite loop until you manually stop the capture. Again, when you manually stop it, the image will roll back to the one captured in first 30 seconds or less.

Did you try by uninstalling the previous version, and reinstalling this.

Gcam takes only 2.1 megapixel front selfies and just 7.2 back pictures.

    Is there a fix?

It's nothing new that the front camera resolution is limited, but it should be at around 4 megapixel.
The main camera is limited to 12 MP.

Do you limited the resolution in the GCam settings?
Do you use the 16:9 aspect ratio?

Which GCam version from which modder do you use? You get it from the GCam settings under info.

Do you already use Android 11? Maybe that is a problem.

Fixing the aspect ratio solved it. Any solution to make the selfies not look washed out? Most gcams don't have an option to change selfie camera sharpness or contrast etc

Well the interface is different here the one that i got, and it restarts the app everytime I choose other camera (wide to macro, or macro to normal,.. etc).
Anyway i m still testing the app.
