I've had the same issue, the phone itself isn't frozen, only the Chrome app, it hasn't been an issue on my wife's Google pixel.

Same. I have a 7T and my wife has a Pixel 3, no issues for her.

can you report that via the bug report feature in the OnePlus Community app (tap the red + button and select Feedback, then choose bug report). You can also use the Feedback link on the website (https://forums.oneplus.com/feedback/)The bughunters can gather logs and info and pass for investigation.

Wanted to add that it is not just a Chrome issue for me. Happens while I use the Pinterest app, Opera browser, and during pretty much anything that involves scrolling.

Experiencing the same freezing issue everyone else is...except in recent weeks it has gotten much worse and much more frequent. Like others, going home fixes it 90% of the time, and when that doesn't work, turning the screen off and waiting, or rebooting the phone does. It's very, very unpleasant and is steering me away from this phone or future OP devices. Please take this issue seriously and work on a fix!

can you report that via the bug report feature in the OnePlus Community app (tap the red + button and select Feedback, then choose bug report).

A reboot doesnt resolve the issue for me. Sure the issue gets resolved for short after a reboot but then the issue comes back again.

I have the same issue, independent of Chrome or Edge or any Newsfeed App that provides some text that needs scrolling.

What I found out is that the "hang" gets resolved when I swipe down the notifications for short then scrolling works again (until the next scrolling hang).

I will post feedback on the bug as suggested above.

I use the OnePlus 7 Pro with OxygenOS 10.0.5. Since one or two updates I have the "feeling" the issue is not happening that often anymore at least.
