Has anyone else noticed that RCS features of Google Messages suddenly stopped working in 10.3.2? I find nothing at XDA, I find nothing here, I find nothing on Reddit. It's like I'm the only one on the whole internet who is having this issue.

I'm on Cricket, it was working with 0 issues for the last 2 months.
I have followed all Google's RCS troubleshooting steps (wipe carrier services data, reinstall it, wipe messages data, reinstall it), and I have completely wiped and resetup my OP6T as well. Still no luck.

If you know something, I'd love to know it too, thanks!

Numerous people with op6t on Verizon have MMS issues since os10 came out. I have had to replace my sim card 2xs now, I'm deferring this update due to this issue as I don't feel like going to the Verizon store and getting another sim card. They need to fix their updates

Verizon (and Sprint) is a CDMA network, which is not fully compatible with GSM network phones like the OP6/6T. Maybe someday, Verizon (and Sprint) will become GSM like the rest of the US (and the world). No software update will fix this.

The software update BROKE it. Please read the messages, these phones are compatible with Verizon using LTE. They work before updating. After every SOFTWARE update since version 10 released MMS stops working.

Yeah, I can read. Guess when something is not fully compatible, it does not take much to break it. CDMA is not the same as GSM. Google also developed Android 10 with higher levels of security, so you can draw your own conclusions.

LTE (long term evolution) is part of 4G. So 4G LTE is used in both, CDMA and GSM networks.

These phones don't have CDMA. I use volte. LTE and CDMA are not the same thing. LTE only supports data. Most new phones are going away from CDMA/GSM and get l are going to LTE only.

Well ok, except 4G LTE is 5 years old. So most new phones sould be moving towards 5G. But they will retain compatibility with 4G LTE.

Yes. OnePlus blocked it for me back in December with a minor update. They've been blocking it left in right - especially for 6T users reporting tons of problems. They also allowed carriers like T-Mobile to be blamed for the issue. The carriers are saying directly that the manufacturer has blocked RCS. The phones indeed DID have it before.

OnePlus needs to answer for this. They seem to be going out of their way to make some of us switch brands. I know I'm DEFINITELY turned off now. They're taking too much control of our devices for no good reason. This is why I've been protesting them performing automatic updates and removing the option to disable both system and security updates. The security updates can't be disabled even though the system updates can be.

    Cricket is AT&T. FWIW.

Oddly, it simply began working again about 3 days later - I think that was 3 days ago. I did nothing because I had given up, it simply began working.

No messages updates, no OP system updates.

Pulling Sim, doing the update, putting the sim back in and then rebooting worked for me. Still can receive mms. I always test it now after i do updates because of this. Whatever the update does screws the SIM card up if it has access to it during the update. 10.3.5 onVerizon

I am using a Google Fi SIM, and Chat Feature/RCS are not working on my OnePlus 8 Pro. My wife is using a Pixel 3, and messages for android doesn't say that her RCS are not delivered. So she is texting me and then I am never recieving her texts. I thought it was a problem with the Beta, so I cycled back down from the OxygenOS 11 open Beta, but that did not fix the issue. I love the phone and the hardware, but I am becoming somewhat disappointed with OxygenOS' compatability faults with Google Stock apps.
    Any suggestions?

OnePlus has intentionally blocked RCS in favor of their own messaging app. They will not provide useful information or useful support. I've tried and that was the result. Please don't frustrate yourselves making the same futile attempt. They are not listening, as made evident by their practice of packing third party bloat into updates. I, for one, will be moving on when I finally upgrade my device.

RCS working fine on my 6T Global version. Sounds like a T-Mobile issue.

RCS works fine with Google Messages on an otherwise stock OP6. Though I am using a GSM carrier (T-Mobile). Not sure if that would work with a CDMA carrier (with a GSM phone).
