Google Now Launcher Not Supported in 5.0.1

  1. dtwalsh67 Donut Jan 12, 2018

    dtwalsh67, Jan 12, 2018 :
Apparently, Google no longer supports their Now Launcher. It was working fine for me in 5.0, but after I did a clean install of 5.0.1, I am unable to download it.

Can anyone recommend another launcher for OP3, or perhaps a work-around to recover Google Now? Thank you.

Apparently Google are retiring it, so if you backed up your OP3 you may be able to restore it.

Google now has been on my OP3 since shortly after 11JUL2016. I have 5.0.1 OTA on my OP3

What's the point of using Google Now Launcher?
It doesn't support many of the functions of other popular launchers like badges, folders in drawer, hiding apps etc

I am using Microsoft Launcher and it's really amazing.

I've been using Action launcher for past year or so. So much more options than Google. I haven't bought the paid version yet . But I will. LoL

I'm in the US. It's still there, but shows "Your device isn't compatible with this version".

How's that? Google Now has a right swipe screen with my Google feed. It also has a single button on the home screen that brings up my app screen. OP launcher is awful.

    Sorry, what is this acronym?

I've tried many different launchers and always come back to Nova's free version. I used to prefer Apex over Nova, but have settled on Nova now.

I don't notice any appreciable improvement. If anything, it's decreased.

I've installed the Microsoft launcher. For now, it seems pretty good. I may try Nova in a few days to compare. I miss having my stock prices one swipe away in Now!

Pixel launcher has been packaged up as an apk and can be installed. I use it on my 5t. it has Google now integrated in it.
