    Hey!
so today I opened my app drawer and found this:

I had the phone for 5 months now, and at no time do I recall seeing this. And I sure as hell won't ever install this piece of crap myself, nor does anyone have access to my phone.

is it possible that it came preinstallled on my OP5T and I didn't notice?! did it come with the 8.1 update?
it can't be uninstalled, only deaktived.

Is this Google pulling out some creepy remote installation thing? Things like this make me seriously consider installing a custom ROM without Google services.

Can anyone confirm from their experience?

    Thanks :)

Not remote. You probably just didn't noticed it. I believe this is part of the 8.1 update.

Yeah I didn't check the app drawer closely after 8.1 I have to say, but I'm still surprised I didn't see that, had the update from day 1.

Not sure what to say. I think as long as your country support Google Pay, it will be installed as part of the latest update.

Maybe it's not available where you live?
Like I said, the possibility of me installing it myself is below zero. I'm super picky with what I install.

Possible yes! I really hope that's the case.

I actually read an article today that Google is automatically deactivating the YouTube kids app in unsupported countries , and then saw this a few hours later, so I got suspecious haha!

Even Apple does this, it will turn the payment app on as it become available in the country you reside in/your account is registered to become available.

I know...which is why I would rather have a feature phone than an iPhone. It's just a shame that these two have the absolute monopoly on the phone world.
