I have uninstalled update and then disable it but it comes back acquires permission for storage and update by itself without any notification from Google Play Store. I never liked this application because my phone has its own gallery .So I don't need Google photos . It's a bug or something you should have to deal with. Make it optional don't give it in pre-installed application. In my opinion it is bloatware which I don't need in my phone so in next update do something about that to make it optional

yet no solution is provided by OnePlus nor Google .
they can make it optional by not integration og Google photos

What? Who doesn't like Google photos?
    It's never was bloatware.

I will be forever in debt for saving all my pics safely.

Try force stopping and disabling it.
Where do you plan to save your pics by the way? Hard disk? DVD?

This happens with Chrome as well and it happens only when Android Webview update arrives on Play Store. I uninstalled Chrome and Photos using ADB and got rid of them.

My 5 hard drives were stopped working till date.
I always regret for keeping important data in hard drives.
Dvds are far better than hard drives.

Anyways login into Google photos and disable sync option.
    Then uninstall updates.
then force stop it from the app info
    and disable it.

Open Play Store and disable auto updates.

Let me know if that worked.
