About the same though the 7pro would be faster at times and when you keep pressing the shutter the 7 pro has no lag while the 6T sometimes has but not much.

How does the phone handle notification alerts when the screen is off?
Is there a LED light behind the screen?

Thank you, I was a little bit worried the case would "eat" the sides of the screen, but it seems OnePlus thought about that.

    Many thanks :)

And thank you once again :)

I'm currently using the OnePlus 6T, so that's the perfect comparison. I love big screens and the phone is not much taller than the 6T and it looks gorgeous. I believe it's not going to be a problem for me.

Do you have the clear cover case also? Can you take a picture? How does it match the curved screen, camera, ...

most importantly, it's not much wider, and even if so, due to curved screen the grip should be (I guess) at least as good as on 6T.

    I have plenty to ask

1.are all the apps and games running on 60hz.of so why would someone pay more for 90hz just to see the scrolling of the home screen and animations.
I think it's advanced tech which none of the app developers are using.

    2. what about distortion at the curved edges when watching movies or pics.

3.how will you pair your headphone, via adaptor or Bluetooth. which is the best combination for best audio quality.

There is no traditional notification light other than the ambient display which you need to tap the screen to show or pick up the device.

Though there is a blue light that amits from the side of the display when you receive a notification.

    1. Most of my apps runs fine with the display.
But reading about it in articles there seems to be alot of games that don't support the higher refresh rate.

    2. You can see a bit of distortion if you look at the side directly but it's very faint and I don't notice it at all when watching movies or Web browsing.

    3. My bullets wireless and audio technica mx50bt both sound excellent and alot better than the usb type c adapter.

I had the exact same worry so I was very pleased as well.
It's not an issue and using it does not feel that big other than when you start to watch videos.
Then you notice the display. :)

If you have the chance to try the screen in real life, I'd really advise you to do so. You say "so why would someone pay more for 90hz just to see the scrolling of the home screen and animations." but I'm sure that experiencing it in real life would help you understand far better than anyone trying to explain you.

Everything feels much smoother. Not just the OS itself, but any scrolling app you might use (Twitter, Instagram, and others alike).

Games on the other hand, greatly depend on them supporting the higher refresh rate. Hopefully, with +60Hz displays becoming more frequent, game engines like Unity will start having built-in support for it. Or even maybe Google might start pushing for this on an OS level.

I think that OnePlus didn't expect that selling a 90Hz screen would be as hard as it is in terms of convincing people that it's way better. The main issue is that due to online sales strategy (at least in most countries) users never get a chance to see a 90Hz screen in real life (that may change when market gets saturated witch such devices). It's not even possible to show that on youtube videos and everything relies on assuring and believing. I'm pretty sure Samsung, Apple or even Huawei and Xiaomi would have less trouble with this. A brave move by OnePlus.
