Got my oneplus 7 pro, any questions? May 17, 2019

Hi, Congrats for the new Device, mines still on the way.
BTW I saw lots of videos in YouTube of op7pro and everyone unlocking the device with fingerprint sensor first pressed the power button then fingerprint to unlock. so, the question is can you unlock the device without waking the display with fingerprint sensor.
I am coming from OP5 and in OP5 we don't need to press the power button to unlock with fingerprint sensor. but lost it 5 days ago[e]1f62d[/e].

and secondly is there any option to change the refresh rate and resolution if device? in YouTube reviews lots of them mentioned that there is no option to do that but maybe it's there somewhere hidden.

and lastly, you mentioned that the op7 has Ambient dusplay notification which lit up when new notification shows up or when picked. but is there any option to turn it on permanently.

these are the things I am going to miss or wish if those aren't already there.

You can't use the fingerprint scanner without turning on the display as it uses light to read your fingerprint. I use ambient display that lights up when you pick up your phone and also lights the fingerprint area.

You can change both the refresh rate and screen quality via settings. There is also an auto mode that detects what you are doing and changes the resolution according to that.

Sadly there is no way to turn It on permanently you can only use raise to wake or tapping the screen once to light up.

Has anyone activated the 7 Pro on Verizon? I ordered my phone this morning but have seen the issues some had with the 6t on Verizon and wondering if those persist on this device? Will I have to contact Verizon and add the CDMA_less feature? Thanks

Oneplus is using the edge of the screen like a limited light bar. A dot of light dot traces around the edge of the screen when a notification comes in.
