    OP3T with Open Beta 8 here. I've just got the same notification and disabled the app. I'm assuming it's a false positive so it should be sorted out soon. Either way, I hope we receive an official statement by OnePlus soon.

    OP3 with 4.1.6 just got the same warning. Disabled it and everything seems to work fine.

    I'm really doubting every app now. If it is harmful and can cost me money does it mean it is connected to my payment info? Or is connected to my data plan? What is a Gpio switch app responsible for?

    Guys we have another thread where we talk about this, and it's not connected to your payments, it says it may costs you money because it may damage your device, it's a default message

    @paul_wigfield Thanks for the heads-up.

    The GPIO Switch itself is a tool for device production, it won't be harmful. Our product team is aware of this feedback, and they're investigating the cause of this alarm message from Google. We don't have a conclusion yet, but we'll keep your all posted.

    Have a good day.

    Thanks for the feedback! Just a question though, since it's a tool for device production, can we safely disable it without affecting any functionality?

    Yes, it won't affect any functionality. However you can't directly uninstall it since it's a system app.
