and I have all the location permission on, but no app I use can access the GPS

is there a update that I need, I have clears the cache and rebooted the phone, I've also uninstalled and reinstalled the apps with no correction to the problem

is this happening to anyone else and is there a fix

I have the same phone on T-Mobile and while the GPS works in those apps, it only really works on the startup of the app and when starting the ride. Once I am traveling for about 10 minutes it will just stop updating and will show me as being stopped in the middle of the road. It will only update my location once I cancel the ride and start it up again.

    Hi,
I got a OP5 and 2 days ago gps stopped working.
My device is in a good shape, so there is no physical damage.
Already rebooted, wiped cache and I can't get a gps fix.

SW all Stock, nothing modified because it's my business phone, A5000, Oxygen 9.0.9

    Same problem as reported above:
Enable GPS, start APP (Navi), and GPS stops working, but to get my start-point always works.

I have a OnePlus 7t Pro McLaren with tmobile and it has the same issue as you but it's only waze with the issue. Google maps works just fine.
THE work around I found is to set you mobile data to 3g/LTE, the restart the phone. That's what works for me. Settings, wifi & internet, Sim & network, preferred network type, select 3g/LTE. When you're done you can just go set back to 5g but in order to navigate again, all the previous steps including the restart need to be done.

thank you, so Waze is having a issue connecting with the 5G modem. I'll try that

Either that or some setting in the phone is blocking its access to gps when 5g is enabled. Let me know if this works for you. It's really annoying to have to change preferred network type and restart the phone just to get navigation to work.

nope still doesn't work, Waze may have to fix the app. but my Google maps goes in and out of connecting with GPS also. so OnePlus may need to correct something with the GPS also. but thanks for the help I'll keep trying different things. I rely on my GPS heavy

Same issue here, just adding to this thread, this is known on XDA forums, T-MOBILE forums etc. GPS is SHOT.

I tested this with GPS toolkit, if your on 4G LTE GPS signal locks (SOMETIMES), but enable 5G then turn on Waze or Google maps? BOOM all GPS signals drop immediately, like a switch.

I can use Google maps all day and do at work with the 5G enabled. For me, it is only waze that has the issue, which I use for commuting to and from work.

Same problem persisted with my OP5 until I upgraded to the open beta 2 Android 10. Now gps works fine
