GPS Positioning is not accurate | OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition

    Hi Team,

    I am experiencing the issue with GPS Positioning on my brand new OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition. The current location and blue dot in google map shows some meters away even though the maps calibrate compass accuracy is high. As per the spec it has dual signal but still it's not upto the mark.

    Is there any issue with the hardware because google map app is upto date.

    I have the same issue are you sure there is no fix for it? that cant be. and if there really isn't this would be a game-changer and will have to return my phone

    Having the same issue.
    Did a cache wipe, reset network settings, tried to reset AGPS data, all with no avail. My Note9, put right next to the 7TPro (using the GPS Test app), shows over 20 satellites and can connect to more than half of them almost right away. The 7TPro only sees about 10, and does not connect to any of them. If it does connect, it's only for a second and it disconnects almost right away.
    Waze does not work at all for me.

    Just want to chime in I'm facing the same exact issues. Not sure if there is a software fix of some sort OnePlus has to do but it's not looking good at all.

    I'm having the same problem. My first attempt to fix it, I removed the provided phone case that had a small metal plate I attached to it for a magnetic phone mount. I used the same mount and plate on my Galaxy S9+ with no issues. When I removed it from the 7TPro, gps reception improved according to "GPS Test", however it still will not acquire and lock a signal - especially with Waze. I read on another forum that some people had success using Waze with Google Maps running in the background, but this didn't solve anything for me.

    I've only had the phone for about 5 days but strongly considering returning it to T-Mobile if this isn't addressed quickly in some way by the @OnePlus team.

    I had sporadic GPS issues with my 7 Pro, but never when using Android Auto. Perhaps it's a power draw issue? So far it's been 3 full days with my 7T Pro 5G McLaren, and GPS is working fine wherever I've used it.

    For those with issues, OnePlus strongly suggests submitting feedback through the Community app. Forum posts may not be seen by the devs.

    i have the same issue no GPS i will call tmobile and see if i can get an exchange if not it return time my 7T had no issues

    Same GPS issue as well. It's better if I turn off 5g but still does it on 4g. Just not nearly as much. Would hate to give up on this phone but can't live with the GPS issue. Maybe the S10 5g would not have this issue. My OnePlus 6t never had this issue. Might just go with a regular 7 pro from oneplus for $350 less.

    I am having the same exact issue both on Waze and Google Maps. I was going to return it thinking I have a defective unit. Is this a hardware or software issue? OnePlus needs to address this issue ASAP!
