    Hi,

Like a couple of people here, your display have a problem, it doesn't work..
    1. It just stopped by itself. You woke up a morning, watched 1-2 videos, listened to a podcast and then gently deposited your precious 1+1 on your desk, only to discover the display wouldn't wake up 45 mins later while everything else is working, including the touchscreen and the backlight (Just like mine in fact  *snort*.)
    2. Charging it for 14 hours straight then reboot didn't work.
    3. Unlocking by a slide movement then pressing the "Power" button for a while for a reboot didn't work.
    4. In a moment of panic, you smashed your screen so that your girlfriend/wife  wouldn't see you were looking at Porn (yet again) in HD on your OPO .
    5. In a moment of panic, you smashed your screen so that your MOM (oh shiiit !) wouldn't see you were looking at Porn (yet again) in HD on your OPO.
    6. You screwed up something with Cyanogenmod and the display doesn't work while everything else does.
    7. You have to send it back to One Plus, can't see a thing but you don't want the IT guy or some chinese women to find out about your favorite porn scene/website still open in your browser tabs :D!
    8. [Inset yours in your own post, i might be fun!]
So, you need to reset the darn thing back to factory default settings and you can't see a thing.

I hope this guide it will help you get back on your feet, in my case it did sweet f... all (display is still inoperative, leading me to think its probably a hardware issue).

Take note that i'm a total newbie at android, i ended up doing this BECAUSE i'm a newbie at android, i didn't know better than to activate the developer features of my android phone, which seem to be necessary to use adb and fastboot!?

Either way, my device wasn't detected. I didn't had registered my device on the cyanogenmod website to be able to do a remote factory reset neither i had installed AirDroid for remote control of my 1+1 (lesson learned).

IF YOU FIND A ERROR OR I'VE WRITTEN SOMETHING THAT SHOULDN'T BE DONE, PLEASE WARN ME. I'll do the necessary corrections, i can't see it on my 1+1 since the display doesn't work.

How i managed to do a factory reset is by looking at this youtube video about a guy not able to do a factory reset :

Plug your device into your computer via USB cable
    • Watch the tree directory and the space used (for those that the smartphone display never worked in the first place and couldn't install anything, sorry i can't help you there).
    • Reboot the system by holding Power and Volume down buttons will reboot you into the boot menu (as stated by the One Plus website FAQ).
Wait a bit, your phone is supposed to vibrate before it reboot. Once it back on, use volume keys (left side of the phone) to move up and down and "Power" (right side of the phone).
    • 2 down to get to "Wipe data/factory reset"
    • Press "Power" to select this option
    • 7 down to get to yes, delete data/factory reset
    • Press power to select this option
Which will get you to the next menu and first option is "Reboot system Now" anyway, so..
    • Press Power
After the reboot, the 1+1 should be showing more space than when than and only the basic tree directory. In my case, pictures and video i had taken weren't there anymore.

    There you go.

    Sorry if i can't help more !

    /BEGIN shameless plug
Now if a admin or a poor bastard from Customer Service/Support currently chained at his desk could take a look into my ticket requests about my display not turning on while the rest is working okay, that'd be GREAT .

Send me a PM and i'll send you my request #s !
    /END shameless plug

Thanks for the write-up. But I must ask. What is wrong with AirDroid?

Nothing wrong with AirDroid, it just that i wasn't aware of its existence before the display stopping working. Since it isn't configured in my 1+1, i can use it.

Sorry, english isn't my first language, so it might have come out the wrong way or just not clear enough :).

I'll try this cause my One's display just quit. I was watching a few videos and surfing the web via Chrome. I set the phone down, it went to sleep and when I picked it up again the phone wouldn't wake. The battery/notification light still works and I can still hear the screenshot sound but the display won't turn on. Sad thing is I've been using my One for less than a week. :(

edit: I just did a reset and the display started working again, strange behavior.

Lucky you :)! Happy it helped, as for mine, its still dead in the water. no matter what i try. Look like my request status changed to "urgent", hopefully it will not be a hard case to get a replacement.
