Trying to flash back to 4.1.3, the recovery installs fine but trying to flash the OTA zip from adb just instantly fails at connecting every time. All it says is "Installation failed." It won't let me unlock from the bootloader, and I can't flash anything in adb! This thing has unquestionably been the worst phone I've ever owned.

If you read the OP (original post) you would know the answer to this question. Since I'm feeling generous today I'll give you the answer. You will lose your data with this operation. Back up your data before attempting.

Does anybody have a link to fix drivers? My OnePlus 3t is being recognized but command prompt would just fail everytime. I did check adb devices and it's there but it won't push the zip.

or any link with the steps or workaround for Windows 10

When the phone is hooked up open the Device Manager in Windows 10. You'll probably find a weird looking entry with some characters that says adb interface. You'll need to right click on that and update the driver manually to the correct adb drivers. This happens periodically. I don't have a step by step right now but that's basically what you need to do. If I don't respond you can also ping @JorgeManuelSilva91 for help as he checks this periodically to help me out.

I installed one plus 3t open beta updates on my rooted phone a few days ago. I want to completely unroot my phone so I checked the root checker it says "Sorry! Root access is not properly installed on this device". I checked the super su app it says "There is no SU binary installed and SuperSU cannot install it. This is a problem!

I just want my phone to be normal as I want to use android pay. Do I need to still unroot it? My bootloader is still unlocked! Still in a kind of confusion if my device is rooted or unrooted. Please help me!

    Million thanks

Sorry for the late response. Sounds like you have a botched SuperSU install. You are unrooted, but your bootloader is still unlocked. You can use the unrooting procedure to unroot it and put it back to the way you got it out of the box. Follow the instructions to the letter and don't skip anything.

place ota in the same folder from where you are running cmd

    calvinistmac, May 29, 2017 :
That's not entirely correct. The "cannot read ota.zip" error is usually a driver error. Please do some research before posting to avoid issues.
