Just a wild guess - it looks more intuitive imo. Could be a lot more than that! :D

Well its easier, gets updated frequently, has a theme-able UI and does better with Nandroids, so i stick to TWRP :D

May be a bad download, do a fresh download, make and place it on desktop on a folder, place the recovery img on the folder, open command prompt in same location as admin, and flash it

    Hey guys,
I'm new to android! I recently bought a OPX because i really wanted to try an android device. Because i'm used to ios devices i'm familiar with 'Jailbreaking'. But there is a problem, i've got a macbook and there is no proper guide how to root your OPX on OSX.
Could somebody help me out? Because i'm stunned by what an rooted device can do! In term of changing your device.

    Kind regards!

Use the guide available in @Funk Wizard 's signature. Procedure for all oneplus devices remain generic 99 or even 99.9% :)

Try out, and post here wherever in doubt. I wont be able to help, coz i have never used Mac. But at least funk would answer.

Hey @Funk Wizard! How are you?

Remember a few days ago when I asked you about the first time I booted on TWRP and I chose not to modify the system partition? You never got to answer me if I did good to choose that. Well, what do you think?

Btw have yku found a complete zip in order to upgrade to the latest oxygen?

Warning: Rooting does not void the OnePlus X’s warranty, though damaging your hardware (i.e., burning up your CPU by overclocking, hardbricking the device) will. You proceed at your own risk! I accept no responsibility for what you do with your phone. Follow the directions closely, and the odds are you will succeed without any trouble. If you are not sure what you are doing, do some more research before you try.

No the swipe would make no difference, and no full zip is out yet for 2.1.2

Install the fastboot drivers on windows 7, its the easiest on 7

    I´ve got 1 question.

I followed the guide for unlocking the bootloader and rooting my OPX. Thanks @Funk Wizard

My SuperSU is now in chinese. Is it because the source of TWRP is chinese? Or did i flash a chinese SuperSU?
