[GUIDE/TEMP FIX] How to Enable New Settings and Temporary Fixes After OOS 5.0 Nov 25, 2017

This is a little guide for those who just upgraded OnePlus 3/3T from Oxygen Os 4.5.1 to 5.0.
(PS : There were too many threads over the same things so i decided to create for easy guide)

Notification Dots :
-----------------------
This feature requires the OnePlus launcher version minimum to 2.1.6 so if you haven't updated it here is the link :

Once you have updated the launcher to the new version follow this steps in order to active the notification dots :

Settings > Apps > Special Access > Notification Access > OnePlus Launcher > Enable it.
( If this is already enabled then disable and enable it in order to active the notification dots. )

Picture - in - Picture:
---------------------------
This feature is currently compatible with a few apps only and the list of that app installed on your device can be obtained by :

Settings > Apps > Special Access > Picture-in-picture > "Your app".

For clearing the general doubt about YouTube PIP : this feature only work with youtube red subscription so if you have it you can directly use the YouTube app.

YouTube > Your Video > Play it > Press Home Button and you have YouTube App in PIP window.
This can be closed by either dragging it to the bottom of screen or by pressing 'X' in that window.

Now if you don't have YouTube subscription and if you want to use YouTube in PIP then you need Google Chrome

Chrome > YouTube > 3dot menu > Request Desktop Site > Click on Full screen Button on video >
Play Video > Press Home Button and you have YouTube in PIP window.

Again you can close it by previous mentioned options.

However you closed the PIP window but Chrome or YouTube app will be still playing in background so you have to swipe it from notification bar in order to stop the playback of the video in background.

Autofill :

If this is working fine then there is no need to follow the steps but if the autofill isn't working then :

Settings > Apps > Application List > Google Play Services > Storage > Clear cache

You will now have autofill option working ( Note : You will need an autofill app installed and enabled in Settings > Language & Input > Autofill for using it. )

Parallel Apps :
-------------------
This feature is for Social Media Apps only and can be found and enabled through :

Settings > Apps > Parallel Apps > "Your Installed App" > Enable.

Once you enable this you will find another app icon with a Filled Diamond inside App Drawer.
If you disable this you may loose data of that app as what it says so make sure to take backup before that.

Android System Notification :
---------------------------------------
You may face this notification many time and moreover you can't swipe it so here is a solution for stop that notification :

Settings > Notification > 3dot Menu at top Right Corner > Show System Apps > Androi System > Scroll and Find Apps Running in Background (Medium) > Click that > Importance > Select Low.

Note : If you encounter "This/These App(s) is/are Using GPS" - you can't stop this notification by even applying above method scince this Android System Notification is Related to network so you need to snooze it for given time but other than that it can't be Disabled or Force Stopped.

EDIT 1 : For General Battery Drain

You may face battery drain after the update the best solution is charge and discharge the device in order to get your SOT (Screen On Time) back to normal. However this may require 3-5 days Battery Charging Cycle so be patient and wait for the battery to get back it self and provide you a normal SOT (PS : Considering the Oreo update you may get new SOT around 6 Hr in a week as of mine I had 4Hr 11Min and after Discharge cycles of 5 days it's now 5Hr 40Min)

EDIT 2 : For Standby Battery Drain

Dial *#*#4636#*#* and this will open testing now goto :
Phone Infromation > Set Preferred Network Type > Now set it to LTE/WCDMA
Changing from your preferred network to LTE/WCDMA and then you need to wait for the next discharge cycle you will notice the difference.

NOTE :If you Reboot then you will again required to do the whole procedure since it gets back to original state.

EDIT 3 : For Contact Display/Search Issue

Reboot/Restart your device and you will have it working now.

EDIT 4 : For Data Connection Not Working

Reset APN settings to Default

EDIT 5 : For Camera "Unknown Error"

The only solution is "Factory Reset", so those who have it kindly do it as this is only option working for that and yes make sure take backup of your personal data in case you need it.
