I am having a problem with the gyroscope on my oneplus 7 pro. it seems like there is a lag with the phone auto rotating. The phone will often be stuck in landscape or portrait mode even after turning it. I will often have to spin the phone in an exaggerated motion to get it to respond. Is there a way to test if this is a hardware or software issue? Is there a fix for this issue if it is a software issue?

I'm having the exact same issue. I noticed it about a week ago on 9.5.11 but I upgraded to 9.5.13 today and it appears to be just as bad (I know there wasn't a specific fix for it in this release). I am not able to use the *#808# method since that was disabled.

    bumping this.
OnePlus 7 pro still has gyroscope lag.
only fixed for a while if phone is restarted.
but after like an hour, it's lagging again.
    this really is annoying.

Seeing that it is a piece of hardware that determines the orientation of the phone itself, I would venture a guess that it is a hardware problem. I would be surprised if any software fix could remedy this issue.
