I recently got this issue in my OnePlus 7 phone where bottom half of the screen is having less brightness or seems faded as compared to the top half. Is there someone who came across this issue and fixed it. I've seen some threads where few people recommended to disable DC Dimming from OnePlus laboratory but it seems that in the latest Oxygen OS update they have removed it

This is a hardware failure and not software, it will not appear in a screenshot. Visit a service center and get the screen fixed.

From two days I am also facing this problem.
    I also have OnePlus 7
Lower part of display have less brightness.
I also want to add that when temperature is below 25 it appears as soon as temperature gets high it disappears.
It was happened by last update.
    Please provide a genuine solution
Because screen replacement coast is near about 10000₹. My phone is sold for ₹15000 .
I will put 12000 extra and purchase new Nord 2

Please share your experience if you visited any service center.
Please tell me solution if you find any.
Either I have to sell my device as soon as possible because screen replacement cost is too high.

Hi, I've not yet visited any service center. Because I'm pretty sure they will tell me that it is a screen issue. So I'm hoping if someone could help us out on this forum who had faced this similar issue in the past and was able to fix is somehow.

Hey, I am also facing the same issue and it started all of a sudden after the last update... Are they any fox for it or do we have to wait for a newer update?

I have the same problem and it's a shame for this company to not fix this issue we all have.
My next smartphone I will buy for sure will be not OnePlus.
