Maybe the haptic motor is broken? Does it vibrate when someone call you?

tried what you asked, it vibrates during incoming call.
also one observation that after restarting phone haptic feedback works for a while and also while typing it works but when you continue typing after few moment it suddenly stops and after that it doesnt works.. still it works for incoming call

Report it here, maybe it's software related

same issue as mentioned previously, haptic feedback works for a while and then suddenly stops working in safe mode also.

then it's very likely to be a hardware issue... If I remember correctly, I had the exact issue on a different phone... the vibration motor will have to be replaced.

i do not use haptic feedback often, so i do not understand how could it get damage, cause it is my new phone, and also it has never fallen or damaged in any condition. please can you elaborate..
because i think it should be the software issue as, before software update it wad working fine

ohh I missed the part that the phone still vibrates when you receive a call... that's really strange.. if you're using gboard, what's the vibration strength set to?

can you please update me, for my relief about what could be the issue?
cause this is very embarassing condition for me, as this is a new device and i didnt expect this to happen with OnePlus. as i havent even used and experienced the haptic feedback so much.. and getting to know that it doesn't not work or it is damaged does not feel well.
    please update ASAP.

I have no idea, I'm just a customer like you... Fortunately I don't experience any issues with my device. Report your issue in feedback section and someone at OnePlus will take a look.

I have no clue then.... but if you feel this has happened after a software update, try booting into recovery and clearing your cache... and if that doesn't fix it, you may have to try a factory reset
