    oh.. okay..
    Now I see it...
The whole picture looks like somekind of fish...
    Didn't even notice... ;D

My intention is to turn blurry background light dots into forms..
Like Stars, hearts, etc... with a filter in front of the lens...

    without filter

    with filter

    1542102508077.jpg

haven't found the right material yet to cutout those tiny patterns ( this one is around 4mm from edge to edge) to be stable and easy to place in front of the lens... 8€

    exactly...

    cardboard didn't work..
didn't get clean cut edges.. 8(
below 5mm it's more like pulling Fiber than cutting...

This try was printed aluminum foil of a coffee pad package...
For the next I'm trying to get a thin but sturdy plastic sheet...
    ;D

the question is did any of you guys trued or used this lens. how was it, should I cancel the order or does it worth the money.
    it costs me US$ 21.59 , Rs.1614.42/-

    Hi threre... : )

and thanks...! Glad you like it... 8D

As far as I can see it's a good 2.5x Zoom lens and the price is ok.. Because of the focus shift it can have an effect on background blurr at closer shots, you will have to see how much...

Do you have a return policy where you bought it...?
If so, test it out and if it doesn't meet your expectations return it...

Maybe share your experience and some examples..? ;D

    Cheers...!

For the Return its under 7day from the recieved the product. and even if I return it there is 70% chance of product being misplaced.
so, the best chance is to show proof to the seller for any kind of dissatisfaction with item as not as described in their page, And wait for ther decision.
it will take month or maybe two to reach to me. and as soon as I get the item I'll share the result.
BTW thanks for the response and this great Post.
***finding posts in op community is exhausting, one of the members gave me the link for this post

    You're welcome... !

And yes, it can be troublesome to find something in this chaos ;D
@eye842 tagged me.. ( Thank you by the way 8D )
But where quicker here than I could reply there.. ;D

They cleaned up the photography section a couple of months ago...So instead of seaching, browse through it. There's a lot of interesting threads and it is closed for new ones, only mods can move threads there...

    That's some hard return policy...
I think, if it's atleast a good zoom lens, I'd keep it..
Way too much hassle for 20 bucks... ;D

Feel free to contact me if you have questions about photography... If I can't answer it, I will probably have an idea who can around here... ;D

Hey.... having ordered my phone lens from chinese websites I know the doubt we have about the quality of the item and the return policy. And indeed returning the lens is out of question and if the seller is considerate he might give a small refund if you find the item of not good quality.
Now coming to the lens, I want to know what was your purpose... 1+5 has a 2x lens, so am assuming you took it specifically for portrait and not zoom. I used zoom lens previously and observed that they struggle a bit for focus. If your main purpose is for getting a blurred background, then I should say Google Camera app does a much better job with 1+5. I have been using the same from a long time.
But if you are specifically looking for a background blur enhancement at 70mm focal length, then this lens would be useful.
Anyway do share the pictures once you receive it. :)

Its specially for the the portrait, gcam background blurr looks more natural and appealing than stock cam but stock cam works better in identifying the object or in refining the edge. and for the 2x telephoto lens in op5, I don't really use them they are useless with one plus image processing and for me primary lens capture details better than secondary telephoto .

That's definitely true that the primary one has better details than the secondary but in the picture you shared I see focus issue on the subject with secondary which i did not face till now...

I dunno if thats because of bad hardware or software issue, but thats how it look's like. but for the closer objects like under 1m distance there is no to minimum focus issue.
last year when I bought it, it was all fine... at that time secondary telephoto lens capture better details in objects in distance, but now its all a mess. I don't remember when it started but on 2017 nov-dec I bug reported/uploaded the logs but no result.

    Okay, now I´m confused...
I thought you ordered a "Portrait lens" to have less details in the backgroud not more...?
Cause this will happen with a zoom (longer focal length) there will be less depth of field...

yep... thats what I ordered the lens for, and in above reply was about the op5 secondary lens that capture less details than before even in the main subject.
