how to migrate wifi networks configurations ?
Is posible to tranfer the black list to the new phone?
so does it support app data back up or it just extract apk files?
How is all the info being transfered if you are not connected to any network? NFC? Bluetooth?
it creates a wifi AP to connect both devices
Hi @Gary C. , thanks once again for explaining the great tool that the switch app is becoming. I've use it in the past and for the most it worked ok. But I have some doubts that I think many probably also have about how is the best way to do it.
The truth is that the Android world already has a backup function that works based on the google account. With that nowadays it gets your old apps back, the sms, call logs, wifi passwords and some settings of the phone.
But in the end, and since you have two different backup options you tend to get a bit confused on what to use and what you get with one and what you get with the other one. Would be great to see a comparative between both.
Besides that, there is also the initial confusion of how things should be done after the first time you turn the phone on. Haven't done it recently so I admit things may have changed, but in the past, on first phone boot, you only had option to do the google backup. So how should you exactly proceed from there?
1 - you can use first the google backup and after that is done you can do the switch backup? Can that actually work or you end up duplicating some things?
2 - You should just skip all that initial welcoming screens from google and just use the switch app after it. Do you actually end up losing some things that google does the backup and the switch app doesn't do?
Would be great to get exactly how you should do things so that you lose the minimum things as possible.
The truth is that all tutorials I've seen start already when the phone has finished that first boot configuration, here is yours:
and it would be great if we had one right from the start that showed exactly the best way to get most things backed up.
Thanks for the answer!! Thats quite interesting actually
Will it work for transferring from OnePlus to other Android devices?
please help me,
I backed up my data with OnePlus switch and copied the folders from opbackup/MobileBackup to my computer.
after resetting the phone, I am unable to restore those data, even after copied them back to the same folders.
please how can I do that?
I’m waiting for the new OnePlus 7 phone... depending on timing, I will have to return a work phone (iPhone 8) before this launches. Any advice on how best to transfer in this situation? Back up to iCloud and hope for the best ?
hi! for you case, I advice you to use OnePlus Switch. it is the better way to switch your two phones data.
Some of the apps are laggy as hell after moving them from op3 to op7 pro, have to reinstall them
Thanks for your reply.... sorry I probably wasn’t clear. I will not have my iPhone any more by the time the new OnePlus launches... so will have to backup... wait for the new OnePlus and hopefully my stuff will transfer?
I'm not able to find any app through which I can migrate and download the data.
The OnePlus 7 is already out bro.
look at "OnePlus Switch" from Play Store
Thanks, will definitely try right away
yes I have the same problem with switching from my OnePlus 6T to 7Pro. you are not alone here. I paused the process and restarted it, but it didn't solve the problem.
It's Very good to see this Feature it saves lot time for everyone, without loosing the data
