Headphone volume for calls way too loud!

It seems like this issue has been ongoing for some time, too bad I hadn't been made aware of it sooner. It seems that the OnePlus PR team has done a great job keeping it under wraps. The volume of calls through headphones is ridiculously loud. It seems that no matter how much users actually bring this up it isn't being addressed. If it isn't changed right away everyone needs to hear about it so no one gets stuck with this phone.

I have the same issue. OP6T, latest updates.
When in a call using a wired headset (earphones and microphone in one) connected to the headphones jack, there is no way to adjust the volume. It is always too high.

On the side of your phone is a hardware control call the 'Volume Rocker'.
If you press the lower end of this 'Volume Rocker' you will find that the volume magically decreases. Try it.

Guys, Einstein is not dead! Nick 59 discovered the volume button!
Nick, if you can't help, go discover obvious stuff in other forums.

Agreed with everybody else - can't lower the volume! It's soooo freaking loud, it actually hurts a bit. OnePlus, fix this please!! Has anyone found some kinda fix for this??

Having the same issue. I can't figure out that one plus didn't fix this. Where is your merchandising community argument ?

I've had my OnePlus 5T for nearly 2-years... used headphones with microphone. No issues with it, except that the headphone jack would slip out of the socket.

A few weeks ago, while on a call, the volume spiked up from maybe 30 to 100%. I pressed the down volume rocker and it remained at 100%. I changed headphones, and same issue. It's been like this ever since and VERY frustrating as I can't use the headphones to make calls.

Hesitating to purchase 7T or 7T Pro (despite not having a headphone jack).

Well, it worked perfectly in April when I posted.
Does pressing the bottom of volume rocker not decrease your volume? Take it to a Service Centre then... [e]1f609[/e]
