Picked up a set of Marley on ear phones on a Black Friday Sale.
Product line is approved by the family of the late Mr. Bob, a Legend.

On ear headphones are a preference from me, hard to get decent bass
response from anything that goes in your ear...these have 40mm drivers
and are biased towards bass. The on ear design allows lower listening
volumes as external noise is reduced, good for your ears.

The sound is really good. I enjoy the bass bias, and there is very good separation
between instruments. The EQ app on our phones can really be appreciated with
a decent set of phones, coupled with some FLAC music files the performance is
truly impressive. Still trying to find the info on the audio chip in the opo, rumour has
it it's a Yamaha, though some say the snapdragon 801 does all the DAC...whatever,
the result is very good, blows away my old iphone.

In fitting with Marley and the rasta culture, the phones come with a nice hemp
tote bag and use recycled materials: they sound great and are good for the planet.

Controls: only half work. Pause and play are ok, volume is a no go. But I'll take
sound quality over button function any day. Paid $70. A steal at that price.

not sure man....have never listened to a pair of beats though they are wildly popular...
the construction and marketing of the Marleys is way different though...a hemp bag,
recycled stainless steel frame, recycled denim and wooden covers on the ear pieces...
so there is an eco-element to these that the plastic beats don't have, and I could never wear

I meant theoretically, as it's like Beats (small headphones with a big music artist in its name)

Marley's have a great sound. Had 2 pairs. Loved their organic look and warm sound.

Build quality sucks. Between me and my sister we had 4 pairs. All 4 broken within a year. And in the same ways.

Had nothing to do with misuse, they literally fell apart. Pathetic.

These where the stir it up which retailed for like $200+.

Went back to senheissers. 2 years running no issue, this is with daily use (2-3 hours).

    Stick to a reputable brand.
