Heating issue after oreo update

  1. Shubham Adukia Gingerbread Feb 15, 2018

    Shubham Adukia, Feb 15, 2018 :
Since last oreo update, phone gets warm (sometimes hot) while charging. There was no such issue before the update.
There are some shinny spots on the back panel of my midnight oneplus 5t. Seems like there is some issue with the Anodised Aluminium. I want people to check there respective phone.

What case do you put on your OnePlus 5T?

I have no damage so far, and I do not even use any type of case. The only thing I find a little uncomfortable is the fact that the camera, since it protrudes a little, tends to make the phone unstable on a flat surface.

I think that is a nonexistent problem :)
If it is uncomfortable for you, put your device screen flat.

It is uncomfortable when you use it on your desk or on a table for example, since when you type it tends to move.

That is why I wrote to put your OnePlus 5T screen flat. Problem solved. ;)

I don't understand what you mean with "put your screen flat". If you mean knocking over the phone, putting the screen on the table, then again, how can you possibly use it?

I use the one plus standard black sandstone case and I would expect to see some chippie, pitting on the back as I use my phone in a dusty environment on occasions but nothing as yet

Sorry, I still don't understand what you mean.

Let me explain again: I often use my phone on my desk, without keeping it in my hands, I just put it on the desk. The back of the phone is in contact with the surface of the desk. However, when you use it, especially when you swipe or tap, the phone moves, because the camera is a little protruding. To make the phone stable, you have to either put it in a case or carve the table (a thing I don't think you should do :D) to compensate the protrusion.

I totally understand what you are saying :) I am saying to do this:

I understand you don't want to do it like that because you want to be able to SMS on your phone when someone sends you a message. So you have three options:

    1. Put a case
    2. Put phone face down
    3. Carve the table :D
    4. Use a phone stand ;)

This is normal, it happens due to the fast charging being used (haha yes I also love me silicone cases) its perfectly normal for heat is made during charging and it's probably your first time to notice it
