Heating while playing Unmechanical

My phone is heating pretty much while I'm playing Unmechanical.
I understand that games use a lot of processing and GPU power but no other game I played heats my phone this much.
I assume it's a game problem and that it clocks the CPU to the max all the time.
Anyone had this kind of problem with this game?

Phone heats up to uncomfortable levels when i play Sky force and game crash every 10-20 minutes.

I can even play N.O.V.A 3 without any problem which is considered as one of the graphics heavy game to date.

I have the same problem, maybe it is the unreal engine? (please don't hate me if it is absolutely wrong;))

There are lots of discussions about overheating, there is also an official thread, but Oneplus doesn't even know if the issue is hardware or software related.

If you are somewhere in Africa, where it's 40°C and your CPUs temp. is 50°C, thats normal. But if you are somewhere, where's 15°C and the CPUs temp. is 50°C, that's something different.

Injustice was the main killer for me, to the point I had to uninstall it. Shame, cause it was a fun game and a good time killer.

That's not quite true, 50°C is normal in both conditions.

You're right. 75°C would be worse.

My One use to overheat for no reason, however, it got solved on its own. I guess you should reboot your device or change the OS (OxygenOS, CM12S, 11S whichever) and hope for the best!

Yeah I guess it's overheating but it won't damage the phone so you have nothing to worry about. Unless you notice a performance drop.

I would imagine throttling kicks in at that high of a temperature but ive never seen a case where it did reach that.

    75 Celsius is 167 Fahrenheit. I think that's overheating.
