Hello can any one help me clear some space. Operating system and other nearly 40gb. May 21, 2022 via OnePlus 8

    You have alot of apps and videos on your phone taking up over 40gb of space. Is your phone set to back up your device to google drive or Google one? If so, you should be able to delete some of those on your phone. To be safe, back up your phone to an external source and then you can safely delete some of those things. I have used the app Ccleaner to free up space and it will clean the cache and junk files. That can help alot also.

    I'm more looking at the file called OTHER. I cannot open it. Or the file operating system. Both of them are 40GB

    The system is what your phone is using to operate. It cant be changed. Other could be downloads, old install files, empty folders, etc. I just used Ccleaner on mine. I had alot of downloaded files. Check your download folder. It's a good place to start. You get there by using your file app. Here is what mine looks like.

    Yes you can clear the data you don't need like any high space videos and apps which you are not using then delete that data from the device.
