This all seems like voodoo, and none of it is working on my phone. Why do these OnePlus 2 phones have such weird issues with restarting? Mine is a paperweight right now. Nothing. I've tried every one of these suggestions. I've even opened up the phone and unplugged then replugged various parts of the motherboard. It is ridiculous to have such problems with this phone.

Thanks a lot! This solves the issue!!
I've just kept it charging for 15 minutes (no charging showing or LED) then just did like above & phone switched on with charging showing :)
(BTW my device is OP3 not 3t)

    Oneplus 3.
I had the same symptoms (blank screen, no LED charge light, no sign of life).
Prior to this, I had upgraded to Android 8.0.0 / OS 5.0.1.
I had been rooted previously and had also played with upgrade flashing TWRP.
All this appeared to go successfully, however, at some point I pressed the power button and volume down button. This was the cause of the symptoms.
I tried the above trick, unfortunately, nothing...
However, my cure was similar. I simply transferred the USB charge cable from the DASH charger to a standard USB plug charger (low current / 1A output) which belonged to my old Samsung S3.
    VIOLA...
Instant fix, screen lit up, it was already booted up and had also been charging in the background even with no signs of life etc.
Left it on the charger overnight, no problem since.
Hope that might help someone in a panic :)

I think there are still issues with recovery and flashing etc with these devices, but that's another topic.
All said, this phone has been solid for me as far as the hardware goes. A few software tweaks here and there could make it amazing!

Do the methods discussed here work for OP3Ts that are stuck in the boot logo? The phone will turn on but won't boot past the OnePlus logo - it'll freeze and reset it self

Depends, what were you doing on the device just before this issue became apparent?

Thank, my 3 had the same issue. Did the same thing at it powered on. I’m running the latest OS. Funny thing, the battery was at 58% when it died. My wife was using it with the OnePlus cable and an Aukey battery pack when it died.

    I had the same thing.

Normally if you hold down the power button for 3 seconds it already vibrates and starts. So I tried that several times and give up after about 7-8 seconds. But this is wrong. Please hold the power button longer! After arround 15 seconds my phone started again, even without pluggin the charger.

    Hi,

    I got the same problem.
    Phone is not powering on.
There is no green or blue LED when connecting to USB charge.
Not any response on the screen and not any vibration.
I managed to make it detected on windows by connecting USB and powering on with Vol + but can't see any device with fastboot...
Can you please give me a link to your methods ? i can't see anything after spoilers.
